During our summer recruitment drive, we have received many questions from some of our newest comrades. In this instalment of Ask The Communist, we dive into questions of revolutionary tactics, our approach to imperialism, and what socialism will look like.

The mood is militant – but union-busting Veolia will stop at nothing to keep its superprofits. To win, the strike must be broadened out against the anti-union laws!
Yesterday, the racist Home Office worked hand-in-hand with the police to arrest migrant delivery workers in Birmingham. An outraged crowd gathered, and RCP members gave speeches exposing the real criminals: Starmer, Labour, and the capitalist class.

Starmer recently met with the French President in yet another choreographed (and irrelevant) display of statesmanship. One product of these talks is another hare-brained scheme to appear ‘tough’ on immigration. These reactionary attacks on migrants are a divisive distraction.

With Starmer’s government presiding over chaos, this year’s ‘Big Meeting’ came at a turning point for the labour movement. Trade union and left leaders must now turn their radical words into action, and build genuine opposition to Labour’s austerity and militarism.
