
President Obama has declared that “the situation in Venezuela” poses an “unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States”. This is the latest measure of US imperialist meddling in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation like Venezuela and as such is strongly condemned by the Hands off Venezuela campaign.

Despite all the concessions imposed on Greece by the troika, the February 20th agreement with the Eurogroup has produced very little of any substance and is already starting to unravel. The deep crisis of Greek capitalism, combined with the stubbornness of the troika in humiliating the Greek government, leaves almost no room for manoeuvre.

Sixteen years since Chavez came to power, the Bolivarian revolution has still not been completed. A revolution cannot be carried out partially. Either it goes all the way in removing capitalism once and for all, or it goes backward and is possibly defeated.
