The news of the German pilot Andreas Lubitz flying the Germanwings Airbus 320 into a mountain in the French Alps came as a shock to the world. We publish here an article by a pilot, who explains how this latest tragedy is yet another symptom of the sickness of capitalist society.

Since early Thursday morning, hundreds of fighter jets, representing Saudi Arabia and a wide coalition of Arab states, have been bombing targets across Yemen, killing dozens, destroying all major runways and much of key infrastructure of the country.
