Britain is not the only country going to the dogs. The crisis of world capitalism lurks in every corner.
Members of the Revolutionary Communist International (RCI) have been tapping into the rising anger of workers and youth, raising the red flag all over the world and making new advances.
Reaching new heights in Germany
In Germany, the Revolutionäre Kommunistische Partei (RKP) has now surpassed the 400-member milestone. For context, before the pandemic they had about 50 members; five years ago they reached the 100 mark; and two years ago they reached 200.
This fantastic rate of growth and recent victory were achieved through patient revolutionary work – connecting communist ideas with ever-growing layers of radical youth.
Every numerical step forward opens new possibilities for the Communists in Germany, who are widening their reach and are increasingly able to put revolutionary ideas on the agenda.

A leading member of the RCI summed it up well:
“New horizons are opening up: our comrades are not far from numbering 500; from there, the 1,000 mark is within reach. If they manage to reach a few thousand – or better still, 10,000 – before a revolutionary situation breaks out in Germany, they will be in a strong position to capitalise on it. That is why, after a moment’s pause and celebration, it is time to get back to work! Onwards to 500!”
It is without a doubt that a revolutionary situation will emerge in Germany – a country which in the past was relatively stable, but where now the crisis of capitalism is catching up with a bang. We are following the work of the German RKP with great anticipation!
Swiss anger at the G7
In Switzerland, 80 members of the RKP/PCR took part in protests against the convening in Geneva of the G7: the club of the seven richest imperialist powers, whose premiers come together to make decisions over the rest of the world.
The Swiss state tried to ban the protest, but they could not stop the swell of fury at the global elite – with 30,000 people taking to the streets on 14 June.
The police resorted to repression, kettling 500 people and detaining them for 10 hours – including passers-by who were not even there for the protest. This was bizarrely celebrated by the so-called ‘Socialist’ Party’s state councillor, Carole-Anne Kast.
Kast has since faced calls to resign, coming from the very trade unions her party claims to represent.
Members of the RKP were well received by protesters, with their slogan: “Down with warmongers and imperialism – for world revolution and communism!”
They sold 220 copies of their party newspaper, Der Kommunist/Le Communiste, and met 40 people interested in getting organised in the fight for revolution.

The Finnish group takes a huge step forward
Vallankumoukselliset Kommunistit (Revolutionary Communists) – the Finnish group of the RCI founded last May – has for the first time acquired its very own office in Helsinki.

The leadership was previously spread out all over Finland, forced to meet remotely. Now it will be able to hold weekly in-person discussions on the political situation in Finland and the way forward, thereby continuing their work on a qualitatively far higher level.
The next goal is to hire their first full-time staff member. Meanwhile, the goal of 60 members within touching distance; and the first 100 are already on the horizon.
The ‘World School of Communism’
The RCI continues to go from strength to strength! With over 8,000 members internationally, the target of 10,000 is well within sight.
All of the work of the Communists across the globe is being driven towards the ‘World School of Communism’ – which will be held 2-7 August.

The event, to which 1,500 people have already signed up, will be livestreamed and translated into Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Japanese, Arabic, and more! This will be a truly international communist event like no other.
Key talks include:
- Multi-Polarity and Marxism: How Communists Fight Imperialism
- Britain’s ‘Almost-Revolution’: The 1926 General Strike
- Progress, Decline, and the Marxist View of History
- In Defence of the Enlightenment
- Hugo Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution
- Marxism and Art
- Rojava: Why Was the Revolution Defeated?
As the Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci once wrote, “the old world is dying, and the new world is struggling to be born”. If you want to help deliver that new world, you should join one of the many watch parties being held in Britain for what is set to be another incredible World School!

One week saw the world’s first ever trillionaire (albeit briefly) and race riots breaking out in several cities in the UK, including Southampton, Belfast, and Glasgow.

What links these two seemingly unrelated events? The world’s first trillionaire was Elon Musk – and he was a key individual directly inciting these riots.
Elon Musk has been a vocal supporter of Tommy Robinson, even helping him to cover his legal fees. Both Musk and Robinson have been encouraging the racial hatred in the UK, claiming the country is headed for civil war over migration.
However – as much as Musk is the richest man in the world and a particularly detestable weirdo, and as much as Tommy Robinson is a particularly hateful scumbag – the problem is far bigger than these two individuals.
The ruling class have always used their wealth and power to deliberately fund and foster divisive bigotry, directing the anger of the poor against one another, rather than the parasitic ruling class.
Take the question of the cost of welfare. Reform UK’s Richard Tice – a multimillionaire himself – has claimed the government must prioritise “warfare over welfare”.
Incidentally, both of Elon Musk’s major companies, Tesla and SpaceX, have received hundreds of billions in public money. He is the largest benefit scrounger of all!
And while Elon Musk is just one man, his behaviour is the embodiment of the capitalist system’s nature: an unquenchable need to amass obscene wealth, a complete indifference to the suffering of the poor, and systematic scapegoating of the most vulnerable and oppressed.
The racist attacks on our streets, the beating of the war drum, the neverending cuts to welfare, the mass murder in Gaza, and the filth of the Epstein scandal – this is all we can expect under the rule of Musk, Trump, the billionaires and their system.
The fight for communism therefore is the fight for a future. A donation to the RCP is an investment in that fight.
