Recent polling, on the back of the Gorton & Denton by-election, has put the Greens ahead of Labour. Starmer and his cronies are now running scared, stooping to gutter-level attacks to try and stop Zack Polanski’s party from making further gains.

The Green Party’s victory in the Gorton & Denton by-election is yet another seismic shift in the landscape of British politics, and a sign of the polarisation and instability to come. We welcome this humiliating blow for Starmer’s Labour – but the Greens’ reformism offers no way out of the crisis.

In yet another setback for Starmer’s beleaguered government, the High Court has ruled that Labour’s proscription of Palestine Action is “disproportionate” and “unlawful”. This is a victory for the Palestine movement, and exposes the crisis of the ruling regime.
