Since the Second Congress of the RCP in May, the push to build the party has been carried out with renewed energy, with the launch of the Revolution Against the Billionaires recruitment campaign.
The crisis of capitalism is only deepening and the communists are confidently working to rise to the occasion. Part of this work involves financing the party.
We face an almighty power in the capitalist class who are backed by billionaires. They are never short of money. They can hire any conference hall, buy Savile Row’s finest suits, and propagate their views in the mainstream media.
We on the other hand need all the support we can find amongst the working class, youth and anyone who wants a revolution against the billionaire class, who are making us pay daily for their crisis!
The party has many tasks before it: organising new branches in towns and cities across Britain; holding public events to discuss our ideas; mobilising for demonstrations like the 7 June anti-austerity demo; providing education and training for our newest recruits; producing a fortnightly paper, a daily website, and regular podcast material – the list goes on.
This all requires time and resources. We need full-time revolutionaries who can travel up and down the country to speak at meetings and provide advice to party branches and cells.
We need stickers, banners, posters, and flags so that we can become a visible force on the streets.
Even mundane things like office supplies and equipment are needed to organise a serious, professional party. And, under capitalism, all of these things cost money!

We had an extremely successful financial collection at our Second Congress. The branches collectively raised over £130,000.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the fundraising so far. Some special thanks go out to a few notable examples: comrade JB in London for a £2,000 donation! Thanks also to a life-long communist fighter, who donated £5,000 anonymously from their pension fund.

Various other individuals, one in London, and two in the North West also donated £1,000 each!
Smaller donations were also made, that involved equal levels of sacrifice from comrades in more difficult financial situations. Thanks to AS, a supporter in South London who though currently unemployed, donated £50 to the party collection.
These are just a few anecdotes from hundreds upon hundreds of contributions. Thanks to everyone who contributed.
But there’s still some way to go if we want to reach our goal of building a party that can lead the struggle of workers and young people.
The regions of the RCP have now adopted targets for the rest of the year. We extend the appeal to all of our supporters to help us meet the remainder of our targets.
It all adds up, large and small. These sacrifices are an essential part of the struggle for revolution, and an investment into a communis future free of misery and oppression.
Help us wage war on the billionaire class! Make a donation today!
