Today, 10 October 2026, 700 revolutionary communists joined the demonstration for Palestine. We were radical and our presence was widely noticed. We are demanding a revolutionary solution to the ongoing genocide in Palestine, in which Burnham’s Labour government and the entire British ruling class, is complicit.
We marched peacefully as part of the demonstration. As we approached New Scotland Yard, where a handful of Zionists were staging a counter-protest, screaming abuse at us from behind a line of police, a surge of police officers streamed out from the counter-protest and grabbed one of our comrades.

They accused him of wearing a face covering – something the police have no problem with when right-wing thugs do it. But they won’t hesitate when it comes to snatching peaceful protestors against genocide off the streets of central London.
The police dragged our comrade to a war memorial at the side of the road, slammed his face into the side of it, and handcuffed him. In doing so, they trampled all over the wreaths at the base of the memorial.
All 700 of us followed, demanding the police let him go. We called out their shameless hypocrisy, violence, and repressive tactics. The British police allow war criminals, Epstein associates, and the far right to roam freely while they arrest peaceful protestors.

All the video evidence of what followed, and there is a lot, shows the police bullying, pushing, shoving, and punching our comrades. They were out of control and deliberately aggressive. Many comrades were punched in the face, kicked in the shins, shoved in the ribs, and more. Clearly the police had been ordered to provoke us.
The police opened the gates to the Zionist counter-protestors, allowing them to roam freely through our ranks hoping to provoke violence, which failed. They then began picking off our comrades one by one, putting them in handcuffs and dragging them off – on the grounds of refusing to turn off our speakers, or in many cases with no clear reason given at all.

In total we know of at least eleven comrades who were arrested today. They have legal support and comrades on the ground outside the relevant police stations.
We should be very clear that the RCP was targeted today because our bloc was huge, youthful, and, above all, posed a political threat. Our slogans linked British imperialism with militarism and austerity at home. We linked the repression by the police with the rottenness of the ruling class as a whole.

Everyone can see that the Revolutionary Communist Party has been growing. We will continue to do so. Their repression will not work. We will not be intimidated, silenced, or cowed.
We appeal to our readers, members, and supporters to help us fight this state repression by donating to the RCP’s fighting fund, which can help us to cover any potential legal costs.
The movements that have erupted in France and Spain are Britain’s future too. The ruling class can feel it coming and they are terrified. That is why these state thugs attacked us today.
The future is coming, and it belongs to us, not them.
- Release our comrades!
- Down with Labour’s government of war!
- For Palestine to live, imperialism must die!
- Workers of the world, unite! We have nothing to lose but our chains!
