Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has led to fears that the conflict will escalate into WW3. This hysteria is being whipped up by Western imperialism and its servants, in order to sow confusion. Marxists must cut through this barrage of lies.

Vladimir Putin shocked the world this morning by launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Despite many ‘strong’ words, Western leaders have been exposed as impotent. Only revolutionary class struggle can end the horrors of capitalism and war.

Faced with Western imperialism’s intransigence, Putin has escalated the conflict in Ukraine by recognising the Donbas republics and sending in troops. This is a clash between rival reactionary powers – powers that the working class must overthrow.
