The war in Ukraine is having severe consequences throughout the world. Many countries will be hit hard by rising food and energy prices, tipping millions over the edge. It is only a matter of time before a new revolutionary wave sweeps the world.

Boris Johnson and the Tories have cynically utilised the war in Ukraine to whip up jingoism and distract from their own crimes. But as the patriotic fumes wear off, the spotlight will once again be focussed on their hypocrisy and corruption.

In order to score political points against Putin’s Russia, western governments are cynically expressing their support for Ukrainian refugees. But these hypocrites and their system are the root of the problem. The solution is socialist revolution.
