In the serene and picturesque English countryside, images have emerged of US B-52 bombers being loaded at RAF Fairford, Gloucestershire. Joining them are US fleets of B-1 Lancers and B-2 stealth bombers.
From the Cotswolds to the British territory of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean: be in no doubt, Starmer’s government has joined the war on Iran on the side of the United States and Israel.

Death and destruction
What targets are these military planes – flying from British territory – bombing?
The Iranian Red Crescent gives us a small clue. They have reported that US-Israeli missiles and bombs have hit 10,000 civilian structures, including: 7,493 residential buildings; 1,617 commercial buildings; 32 medical and pharmaceutical facilities; 65 places of education and learning; and 13 belonging to the Red Crescent itself.
At the time of writing, Iran’s health ministry has reported that over 1,200 civilians have been killed – and 10,000 injured – by US-Israeli airstrikes.
Not only this, but irreplaceable historic sites like the UNESCO Golestan Palace in Tehran have been severely damaged.

Despite Britain’s increasing involvement in the war, UK citizens have had absolutely no say in these matters. There was no public discussion prior to Starmer’s decision to offer Trump support with so-called ‘defensive’ military operations. There was no vote in Parliament. Yet we are told we live in a ‘democracy’.
The reason is clear. On every metric, voters in Britain overwhelmingly oppose this war. The latest polling shows that just a quarter of the population supports Trump’s war, with an overwhelming – and rapidly increasing – majority opposed.
Who pays?
Who, in Britain, is paying for the establishment’s military support in prolonging this war?
For starters, there are ordinary motorists. Oil prices have been oscillating wildly, leading to one London forecourt selling petrol at £2.38 per litre! Diesel drivers, meanwhile, are bearing the worst of the brunt, with prices up on average by 13 pence per litre since the war began.
Furthermore, rising petrol and diesel prices, alongside the price of natural gas, affect almost every sector or industry – from transporting food, to heating factories, to powering machinery. Already, for example, haulage firm John Reid Trucking Limited in Lincolnshire has reported that they are spending £6,500 extra per week on fuel.
On top of this, key fertilisers for agriculture – like ammonia, urea, sulfur, and phosphates – are trapped in the Strait of Hormuz.
This is a finished recipe for inflation. Household bills for supermarket shopping, heating, electricity, deliveries, and more will all go up.
And this is before even mentioning the impact of the profiteering monopolies and middlemen who will make a killing from this crisis through price-gouging and hoarding.
Warfare vs welfare
Beyond the immediate necessities of life, the war will also cost many the opportunity of owning their own home, or keeping up with repayments on existing loans.
The latest figures show at least 500 mortgages have been pulled by lenders – the highest since Liz Truss’s mini-budget disaster.
With inflationary pressures surging, interest rates and borrowing costs for working families will also rise. Those hoping to renew their mortgage or buy their first home, therefore, will be paying hundreds of pounds more.
Finally, there is the cost of the ruling class’ militarism. While arms companies benefit from all this bombing and bloodshed, Starmer’s government is looking to slash welfare to pay for warfare.
Who will suffer the consequences of all this? Who will pay the most? Us – ordinary workers, the elderly and vulnerable, disabled people, students and young children, in Britain and beyond.
It is their war and our burden.
Hands off Iran! Overthrow the warmongers!
The war on Iran is dragging the whole world into crisis and barbarism.
The warmongers waging this catastrophic conflict are part of the same cabal named in the Epstein files. It is their sick system that is responsible for violence, abuse, and misery everywhere.
The latest documents released include allegations that Trump and Epstein abused a teenage girl from the age of 13. Abroad, meanwhile, these gangsters are dropping bombs on Iranian women and children. This includes the murder of 168 innocent lives in a strike on a school.
These people are, without exaggeration, monsters. Their cruelty and callousness knows no bounds.
They launch wars; we pay the price. They rake in billions; we struggle from paycheque to paycheque. They get ever-richer; we get ever-poorer.
This is a class which deserves to perish; that must be overthrown. That is why we say:
- Hands off Iran!
- Down with capitalism! Down with imperialism!
- For a revolution against the warmongers and billionaires!
- Overthrow the Epstein class and their sick system!
