2026 opened with the US government kidnapping Nicolas Maduro, the sitting President of Venezuela.
This is a clear sign of the times that we are living through. The mask of the ‘rules-based order’ has fallen, and the gloves are off. No nation is safe from the ravages and plunder of imperialism.
British imperialism – represented by Starmer’s cretinous, hypocritical government – refuses to condemn Trump’s actions. In fact, they work hand-in-hand (or rather, tongue-on-boot) with the Washington warhawks.
For decades, the British establishment has done all it can to undermine, isolate, and bury the Venezuelan Revolution, just as it always has moved to quash democratic and socialist struggles, from India, to Kenya, to Soviet Russia.
The RCP stands firmly against all imperialist meddling. We’re running a campaign to educate workers and young people on the reality of British imperialism, on the real legacy of the Bolivarian Revolution, and how we can build a movement to overthrow imperialism.
We say: Hands off Venezuela! No to imperialist plunder!
Working-class struggle and internationalism are our only defence. We are printing revolutionary literature, producing videos and podcasts, hosting public meetings, as well as organising and attending demonstrations against the imperialist crimes of the US and UK.
