The pandemic has sharpened the class struggle worldwide, with workers and youth beginning to move against the capitalist system – a system that is responsible for racism, state violence, oppression, imperialism, and the global climate catastrophe.
The rottenness of capitalism has been laid bare for all to see. Two years on since the outbreak of COVID-19, the ruling class is carrying out a fresh wave of austerity and attacks, looking to make workers, the youth, and the poor pay for the crisis.
And while billionaires like Jeff Bezos are shooting off into space, billions are struggling to make ends meet back down on Earth.
A growing number are pointing the finger directly at capitalism as the root of the problems facing society. That is why the theme of this year’s festival is Socialism In Our Time – a demand that resonates with the new generation, to whom the status quo offers no future.
Capitalism must be overthrown. But to do this, we need to get organised, and arm ourselves with the revolutionary ideas required to transform the world.
So buy your ticket now for this exciting and inspiring festival – and join the revolution!
