A genocide in Gaza, a collapsing Labour government, a Gen-Z revolutionary wave, Trump’s tariffs, the largest far-right demo in Britain, half a million out for Palestine (twice!). 2025 has been another year of chaos and turmoil.
As 2026 dawns, Trump is threatening war in Latin America, NATO faces a humiliating defeat in Ukraine, an AI bubble grows ever larger, and Keir Starmer faces a plethora of backstabbers seeking to usurp his premiership.
We can expect more strikes, imperialist wars, political earthquakes, parliamentary rebellions and coups. In word, we are facing a world of revolution and counter revolution, as a new world struggles to be born.
Revolutionary future
Whilst the strategists of capital look aghast at the catastrophe unfolding, society continues to polarise. In the UK, whilst some have looked to Farage and Tommy Robinson, there is an increasingly large layer, primarily of the youth, who are turning towards communism.
This helps in part helps to explain why 2025 was a spectacular year for the Revolutionary Communist Party.
From our membership, paper circulation and book sales – all have never been higher. We held the largest openly communist school in decades, with the largest contingent of communists on a Palestine bloc in Britain ever!
Both qualitatively and quantitatively, 2025 has been a year of growing maturity in the ranks of the RCP, and the figures below show.
Here is your RCP 2025 Wrapped!
