The recent UCU strike saw significant support from students. Students recognised that deteriorating working conditions directly affect them. In Leeds, the Marxist society mobilised for every day of the strike, fighting against the marketisation of higher education.
Since last week’s election defeat, the right wing and media have launched a huge offensive against Corbyn and the left. But it is the Blairites and their sabotage that is to blame. We must fight to purge the party of these elements.
After the disappointment of the election result, Labour activists must gather their strength and regroup to choose a new left leader. Members must use this as an opportunity to call for mandatory reselection and bold socialist policies.
The shock election result has caused great confusion, demoralisation, and anger. It is vital to learn the lessons from this defeat, in order to regather our forces and go on the offensive against Boris Johnson and the Tories. We urge you to join us.
We have one last opportunity to mobilise our movement for a Labour win. The Tories are in a panic. The wind is in our sails. We have every chance of success. Let’s get out there and fight! All out for a Corbyn victory!
