
The leader of Syriza, Alexis Tsipras, visited London last week for a series of meetings, concluding with a public lecture at the Friends Meeting House, organised by the Syriza branch of London, which attracted over 500 people into a packed venue. Georgios Diakogeorgiou of Syriza London reports.

News that five trade unions the INMO, IMO, Unite, ASTI and the Civil Public and Services Union have recommended rejection of the proposed Croke Park Deal will be welcomed by workers across the State affected by the proposals. Tony Healy reports.

The class struggle in Greece continues. In the last three years, Greece has seen no fewer than twenty-one 24-hour hour general strikes and three 48-hour general strikes. The government remains firm, while the fighting spirit of the workers is gradually dissipating. The mood is as angry and bitter as ever, but it is also confused. The question in everybody’s mind is: “What do we do now?”
