Keir Starmer has provoked a backlash within the Labour Party, due to his unconditional support for Israel. The Left, meanwhile, is putting all its efforts into demands for a ceasefire. Instead, workers must mobilise to smash imperialism.

With a humanitarian disaster already playing out in Gaza, and a mass movement in solidarity with Palestine building, western leaders are growing alarmed at the prospects of an Israeli invasion. They know they will have blood on their hands.

As the death count in Gaza soars, many leading left-wingers are calling for a ceasefire and for peace negotiations. But there can be no genuine end to Palestinian oppression under capitalism. That is why we say: Intifada until victory!
