Countless atrocities are being perpetrated by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) across the Middle East, with the full backing of ‘Sir’ Keir Starmer and the ‘Labour’ Party.
On Monday, the world witnessed the horrifying bombings of the Al-Aqsa Hospital compound in Deir al-Balah. Gut-wrenching videos of patients burning alive in their hospital beds, still connected to their intravenous drips, have been shared widely online.

Eye-witness reports describe families desperately fleeing tents engulfed in flames, and people running away with their bodies still on fire.
In the past fortnight, we’ve also seen strikes on the Abu Hussein school in Jabaliya, killing at least 28, including children and doctors; the municipal headquarters in Nabatieh, Lebanon, where the mayor, two doctors and 16 people in total were killed.
On top of this, there’s the deliberate blockade of food aid into Gaza, and UN peacekeepers hospitalised by IDF attacks in Lebanon.
In response to these cold-blooded massacres, Starmer and his foreign secretary David Lammy – who have backed the murderous Zionist state every step of the way – have issued the most snivelling, hypocritical statements imaginable.
Lammy acknowledges the “humanitarian situation in Northern Gaza is dire”, with barely any food entering for the past two weeks. Then, like clockwork, he made yet more empty calls for a ceasefire, and aid to be allowed into Gaza.
All the while, Britain continues to arm Israel to the tune of £18.2 million. Britain’s Royal Air Force continues to fly spy missions over Gaza in cooperation with the IDF, providing critical intelligence to a genocidal regime.
British companies like BAE Systems and Raytheon continue to manufacture key components for the Israeli war machine. This includes the F-35 fighter jets which are dropping bombs on innocent civilians, schools, hospitals, and municipal buildings.
British imperialism continues to use its military base in Cyprus as a channel to supply Israel with military aid from the United States, Israel’s largest backer.
And what do the Labour leaders do about all of this? Absolutely nothing.
In early September, Starmer and Lammy suspended 30 arms licences (out of 350) to Israel. This was less than a drop in the ocean; nothing but a cynical attempt to wash their hands clean of the bloodbath in Gaza.
And earlier this month, this sham ‘sanction’ was proven to be smoke and mirrors. When Starmer was asked directly in parliament by suspended Labour MP Zarah Sultana whether he would end all arms sales to Israel, Starmer unambiguously replied: “No”.
Today I asked the Prime Minister if he will finally do what’s legally and morally right and end the government’s complicity in Israeli war crimes by banning ALL arms sales —including F-35 fighter jets — to Israel.
He said “no”. pic.twitter.com/QdfzLyUnSq

Now Lammy’s department claims to be targeting sanctions against organisations which are promoting and carrying out settler violence in the West Bank.
But once again, these measures are nothing but a distraction. Out of the estimated 100 illegal outposts terrorising the Palestinians and driving them off their land, Labour is sanctioning three of them.
And if Lammy wants to “clamp down” on organisations promoting settler violence, how about starting with the Israeli government itself, which is providing funding, infrastructure, and IDF protection to 70 outposts in the West Bank?
The hypocrisy notches up ad nauseam when you compare this to their statements about Putin and Russia.
At the recent United Nations meeting (see below), Lammy lambasted Russia for running “roughshod over international law”, firing missiles into Ukrainian hospitals, and ended by stating “your invasion is in your own interests”.
Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is in his interest – and his interest alone.
To expand his mafia state into a mafia empire.

Starmer and Lammy are happy to fund Ukraine militarily to the tune of at least £3 billion a year – in an aimless, unwinnable war against Russia. Lammy even vowed that it’s his “personal mission [to] constrain the Kremlin”.
I will hereby make it my personal mission to use the full arsenal of tools at my disposal to constrain David Lammy from making nauseating statements that do nothing but display his gross hypocrisy for the world to see https://t.co/OZkasMc3ny

But what about Israel’s invasion and bombardment of Lebanon – a sovereign, internationally recognised nation? Not a word.
What about IDF missiles raining down into hospitals across Gaza and Lebanon, aided by the British military? Or the UN peacekeepers who are attacked by the IDF? In whose interests are those atrocities carried out? Again, nothing.
Where is his ‘personal mission’ to constrain Israel, which is deliberately creating an artificial famine? Where are the economic sanctions on Israel? The demonising press statements, and all the rest?
Not a word of blame falls from their lips when it comes to their ‘partners’ in the Middle East. Starmer, Lammy, and the rest of this warmongering cabal all look the other way.
The supposed morals of Starmer and Lammy are not dictated by the severity of the atrocities committed, how many schools or hospitals have been destroyed, or how many countries’ sovereignty has been violated.
They are – to paraphrase Lammy’s attack on Putin – dictated by their own narrow, imperialist interests.
They will defend, deflect, or claim ignorance to the innumerable atrocities that Israel is committing. But their lies won’t wash. The truth is plain to see in the eyes of millions.
- No trust in Starmer’s Labour!
- Stop all arms exports to Israel!
- Halt the imperialist war machine with class struggle!
- Overthrow the warmongers! The main enemy is at home!
British imperialism at the UN: Chihuahua vs rottweiler
Labour has timidly called for Netanyahu to step back from the edge, while stating that “Hamas started it” and that “Israel has a right to defend itself”. Bear in mind, Britain is supporting Israel with military intelligence and £18-million-worth of arms.
At the United Nations, by contrast, Keir Starmer and David Lammy, the ‘Labour’ prime minister and foreign secretary, took the opportunity to “lambaste” and “tear into Putin” (as the British billionaire press put it) for the Ukraine war. Lammy thundered:
“I stand here as a black man whose ancestors were taken in chains from Africa, at the barrel of a gun to be enslaved; whose ancestors rose up and fought in a great rebellion of the enslaved. Imperialism – I know it when I see it. And I will call it out for what it is.”
Lammy forgets that it was British imperialism which carried out these atrocities. Although slavery was abolished, the same class that profited from it for centuries is still in power, and is paying for Labour ministers’ suits and concert tickets.
He continued: “Russia is trying to return us to a world of imperialism. A world of redrawing borders by force. A world without the UN charter.”
This, coming from the representatives of British imperialism, is complete and utter hypocrisy.
Britain – whose world position is built upon centuries of “redrawing borders by force” – defends Israel’s right to charge into an aggressive, predatory imperialist war; a war which seeks to redraw the map of the Middle East to make room for a ‘Greater Israel’, alongside directly killing tens of thousands of innocent people, and displacing over a million.
This is the most naked imperialist banditry, taking place before the eyes of the whole world. The difference is that Israel is an ally of America – and therefore Britain too – and Russia is not.
For the same reason, Britain’s interventions in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen, and Afghanistan are called ‘humanitarian missions’, while Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a unique and abhorrent violation of national sovereignty, freedom, and democracy!
Ultimately, Starmer and Lammy’s speeches are empty boasts. Like a chihuahua yapping at a rottweiler, Britain’s bark is bigger than its bite. A declining and dependent imperialist power, it seeks to puff out its chest on the world stage. In reality it is a feeble butler to US interests.

Read between the lines
“To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies…to repudiate morality while laying claim to it…”
The past year has given no shortage of examples of such Orwellian Big Brother-esque ‘doublespeak’ from the imperialists and their representatives, speaking out of both sides of their mouths.
Their euphemism and evasive verbiage is a blatant attempt to whitewash Israel’s crimes, and by extension the complicity of the western establishment.
To highlight a few common devices employed by the capitalist press and politicians, in relation to the Israeli state’s attacks:
- ‘Limited airstrikes on military targets’ means the indiscriminate bombing of refugee camps, hospitals, and schools.
- A ‘limited ground operation’ means a full-scale invasion.
- ‘Eliminate Hamas / Hezbollah’ means slaughtering innocent Palestinian and Lebanese men, women, and children.
- The ‘right to self-defence’ means genocide of the Gazan masses.
- ‘Military aid’ means bombs and bullets.
- The ‘most moral army’ in the world means an uncontrollable armed gang, who rape, plunder, and murder with impunity.
- Israel’s ‘right to exist’ means reducing Gaza to rubble and allowing rabid Zionist settlers to push Palestinians from their homes and land.
- ‘Targets hidden behind human shields’ means a licence to kill as many civilians as is deemed necessary.
- ‘Audacious and carefully-planned operations’ means state-sponsored terrorist attacks within sovereign nations.
- A ‘ceasefire agreement’ means further escalation of the war.
Such hypocrisy abounds amongst these warmongers. For them, peace always means war.
Those who want genuine peace must fight for revolution to overthrow these liars and war criminals.
