We are now just over two months away from the biggest Marxist event of the year: the International Marxist University. We are proud to announce the finalised timetable of exciting talks. Book your place today – and join the revolution!
This year’s International Marxist University – #IMU22 – begins in nine weeks time, taking place between 23-26 July. Already, over one thousand people from 91 countries have registered to attend.
Wherever you are, you too can join in and take part in this incredible event: either online; or at one of the many watch-parties being planned across Britain, and all over the world.
Organised by the International Marxist Tendency (IMT), the IMU is an excellent school for revolutionaries around the globe in the ideas needed to overthrow capitalism and fight for a socialist future.
The theme of this year’s IMU is the three component parts of Marxism, with three strands of parallel talks on these core pillars of Marxist theory: dialectical materialism; historical materialism; and Marxist economics.
#IMU22 will consist of 14 fantastic sessions across four days, including: Marxism and Art with Alan Woods; The Marxist theory of knowledge; Blood and gold: the Spanish conquest of the Americas; and much more.
Sessions will be translated into Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Urdu, Chinese, and Arabic, making this a genuinely international, one-of-a-kind event.
Comrades of Socialist Appeal and the IMT are organising watch-parties all over the British Isles – from London to Edinburgh; from Birmingham to Dublin – with hundreds set to attend and participate.

Over 6,000 people took part in the last International Marxist University in 2020. And many of those have since joined the IMT to put these revolutionary ideas into practice.
As the great Marxist revolutionary V.I. Lenin remarked: “Without revolutionary theory, there can be no revolutionary movement.”
Let us make this year’s IMU even bigger and better – another step towards building the forces of Marxism across the world, in order to intervene in the dramatic events unfolding before us, and to offer humanity a way out of the barbarism of capitalism.
