
Defenders of the free market look towards libertarians such as Hayek and Mises – and their assertion of an ‘economic calculation problem’ – in order to attack socialism. But in truth, Marxists answered these reactionary arguments long ago.

A number of companies are trialling the introduction of a four-day working week, with no loss of pay. If ‘successful’, this will simply mean more intense working conditions for the working class, whilst the bosses rake in more profits.

With inflation soaring, the apologists of capitalism are demanding that workers show ‘wage restraint’ to subdue prices. Workers are not the cause of rising costs, however, but the victims of this crisis. To fight inflation, we need expropriation!
