The government has declared war on university students and staff. The launch of the Defence Universities Alliance means campuses will increasingly be at the service of militarism. Workers and students must unite to stop these plans in their tracks.

Britain’s biggest car manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, is slashing thousands of jobs. This is a graphic illustration of Britain’s industrial decline, and a humiliation for Burnham’s ‘pro-industry’ Labour government. Workers can have no trust in these sellouts!

Last week, Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband announced an import ban on goods produced in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Burnham’s government wants to pose itself on the side of “fairness against injustice”, but this move is performative, tokenistic, and changes nothing.
