We are pleased to announce that in September we will be relaunching Socialist Appeal as a 16 page full-colour tabloid. More details will be posted here as we get them so watch this space! However one matter needs dealing with now – the question of adverts in the first issue of the new format.
Below you will find the text of a letter which is going out to individuals, union and Labour party branches, trades councils and others. We are asking all visitors to this site to raise this request at any meetings of the movement they attend over the next few weeks. The text below can be copied and printed out or e-mailed. APPEAL FOR ADVERT
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Socialist Appeal is planning to take a
big leap forward in September with its transformation into a 16-page
full-colour tabloid newspaper. This will also co-inside with the TUC
conference in Liverpool on 14th September. We are therefore writing to
you to see if your union organisation would like to take out an advert
aimed at the TUC or simply welcoming the development of the paper.
Given the world crisis of capitalism, there has never been a greater
need for socialist ideas and solutions.
The cost of an advert is as follows:
Half a (tabloid) page £240
Quarter of a page £120
Eighth of a page £60
Sixteenth of a page £30
The
closing date for adverts is Wednesday 5th August. Either supply artwork
or simply text by email. All cheques payable to Socialist Appeal for
the appropriate amount should be sent to Socialist Appeal, PO Box,
50525, London E14 6WG.
