The Israeli state is carrying out a massive, prolonged bombardment of Lebanon, in preparation for a land invasion. This wholly reactionary war of aggression will drag the whole region – and the entire world – into even greater turmoil and instability.

Starmer’s government has been one of crisis since day one – rocked by riots, rebellions, and scandals. All of this overshadowed this year’s party conference, spoiling the celebrations that the Labour leaders were expecting. But worse is yet to come.

Nurses organised in the RCN have voted to reject the government’s pathetic pay offer, which does nothing to address the years of wage erosion that NHS workers have faced. The stage is set for a new wave of struggle across the public sector.
