Instead of providing reassurance, the Prime Minister veers between callous comments and jockular remarks – reflecting the whole out-of-touch establishment that he represents.
Under pressure, the Tories have now pledged to pump billions into the economy to save bankrupt businesses and households. But this is not enough. We need nationalisation and a plan of production – to take control of the economy so that urgent measures can be carried through to protect workers and the vulnerable.
